Over the past few years, we've had the privilege of serving at a small church called Speranta (means hope in Romanian) in the central Romanian village of Bod. Like with almost everything else, the pandemic has prevented our team visiting the church for the past two summers. However, the Lord has allowed us to keep in even closer touch with the church's teenagers and leaders via Zoom. Since late 2020, the team has met with these teenagers monthly to address faith and life questions. We also use this time to encourage them in their faith walks in spite of the bullying they face because of their faith. Praise the Lord, these teenagers are maturing in front of our eyes. They are not only leading activities in children's programmes, but also each discipling a few young children in the local and neighbouring villages. Recently, they have also begun to lead Sunday worship! SC leaders are also trying to provide support to the inspirational leaders in Bod who have truly given everything they have to serve this church. We invite you to support this ministry and this church in prayer, in light of the extremely difficult times Romania is currently experiencing.
